So what am I running from? Perhaps the better question is what am I running to?
I run into peace of mind and sanity on the trails as often as I can get out to run. I chase after nature, beauty, and a childlike love of life. I run seeking an exhaustedly beautiful pain and fatigue. I hope for a greater sense of self-acceptance and acceptance of the world around me, which is something that is oddly both easier and more difficult to come by every day I run on this Earth. I run to zone out. I run to forget and forgive. I run to remember and take a stand.
